Halloween

Georgia was a doctor for her first Halloween in scrubs that match her dads. The color brings out the blue in both of their eyes!

She and I seem to have the same feelings about hair bows.

Tummy Time at 2 weeks

Our baby girl is two weeks old today. She had her two week check up yesterday and is back up to her birth weight and weighs in at a perfect 6 lbs. Its amazing how much she eats for only a few ounces! We are starting to see more of her fiery side too. She is a sweet combination of mellow and feisty. When getting her standard follow up PKU test yesterday the Lab Tech said it well when she said "She is little but she's a fighter!" I am so proud.

Today we started Tummy Time and here she is getting a little emotional support from Boomer.
Since this is how she felt about it
And it sure is sweet being the one who makes it better.
I think we love her more every morning.

One Week

We've made it one week! And so far so very good. As far as Georgia's mom and dad are concerned she is still the best baby on the block...and in her first pair of pants today.

IT'S A GIRL!

Georgia Elizabeth
Born 10/15/09
Weighing 6 lbs 0 oz and 19 inches long

Labor was 36 hours with one fantastic husband who was as wonderful, attentive, supportive and gentle as any women could ever hope for and one mother of mine who used to be an OB nurse and was the most impressive contraction coach on the floor, two great anesthesiologists who did everything they could to help with the pain when both epidurals failed. And after 25.5 hours with no epidural I was not in the mood for the pain to continue and increase. The second anesthesiologist even came out of his surgery, a c-section for twins, to give me a bolster shot to help me through the final stages of labor and the pushing! Amazing. I am for pain meds and proud after all of this. Our nurse was incredible and even came over to be our nurse again after Georgia was born.

I have found it so amazing how quickly not one of the hours of pain matters when you are finally holding your baby in your own arms. This is the most amazing, wonderful, and incredible thing I have ever done. I am in awe that God has blessed me with this little tiny GIRL!

The moment she was born and the whole room shouted "Its a Girl!" was the most fun and wonderful moment ever. Daren and I both expected the baby to be a boy and we both looked at each other and started to immediately laugh and cry. I couldn't stop saying " We actually got a girl!" Our sweet Georgia girl is the first girl in Daren's family is 55 years. But more on that at another time. My daughter needs me now...

Oh how I love her.

The Farm + a Camera + a Big Belly

My sister in law Christy should be a photographer. Correction, she should be a paid photographer. She graciously look all of our maternity photos out at our family farm and we love them. These are some of my favorites. They are all still unedited, which should give you a better idea of just how good Christy is at taking pictures and capturing moments.

Trust for Today

Good morning You,

Today, Trust in who I am. Not what I do.

My ways will not always make sense to you but I am Who I Am forever.

Trust Me. Trust My plan.

Do not get bitter. Trust in me.

Do not get resentful. Trust my plan

I am not harsh, I am holy.

I am especially fond of You, and I have great things planned to bless you and your family abundantly.

Trust me, don't let yourself get bitter.

Trust my plan.

Trust my plan.

Trust my plan.

"Rejoice in your confidant hope. Be patient in trouble and never stop praying" Romans 12:12

I love you forever,
God
