You know you have an Urban Dog when...

You know you have a city dwelling dog when;

He has a yellow rain coat and loves it

He can find a hamburger bun, a Tacobell wrapper, a half of a piece of pizza, and a SlimJim on one 10 minute walk.

He yells back at the homeless man in the ivy

He is not shy about jumping into large flower pots that adorn various business fronts to do his business

He knows that the bank teller and the pharmacists give treats

AND

He can go from 5:00pm until 8:45am without having to go outside or messing in the house!

GOOD BOYS!

Making Pies to Make A Difference

As I sit at my computer day after day, searching the job postings and not getting any calls back, I too am feeling the daily effects of the economic crisis. Instead of feeling myself a failure I am full of dreams, hopes, and of a bigger purpose than bringing home a paycheck. What matters to my heart are people and how I can make a difference in the lives of some of them.

Welcome to The Pie Shack. Where people matter and make a difference through pies. Each homemade pie from the Recession Raspberry Pie to the All Together Apple Pie to the Put Up With It Pumpkin Pie is made with local organic fruit to help support our local community and famers. A portion of each pie purchase goes to the charity Shoes for Life which collects and distributes new and gently used shoes to several non-profit organizations. For each $20.00 pie sold $5.00 will be donated directly to Shoes for Life.
