Announcing Shoes for Life

On our first date Daren and I realized we shared the same dream for impacting the world and being involved in international missions. Together we have formed Shoes For Life. Shoes for Life collects new and gently used shoes and donates them to local area homeless and needy families and internationally through Children of the Nation.

Both of us were brought up in families that taught the importance of giving back, not just in word but in action. We each have grandfathers who dedicated their lives to making the world a better place through spreading the word of Jesus Christ through various international mission work.

We are please to announce that Shoes for Life is about to officially go international! Through our partnership with Children of the Nation we will be sending our first shipment of shoes to the AIDS stricken country of Malawi.

If you are interested in donating shoes or starting a shoe donation drive in your area email me at shoesforlifePDX@gmail.com.

This is cool, Sarah. I will dive into my closet and find some shoes to donate. Our church here in Gig Harbor also works with an orphanage in Malawi, and this past Christmas we purchased mosquito nets for all the kids there in order to prevent malaria. Great to hear about what you guys are doing there too!
